Amazon Prime: Exclusive Rights to Stream UEFA Champions League

Paramount and CBS Sports Secure US Rights

Amazon Extends German Broadcasting Deal

Amazon has expanded its UEFA Champions League broadcasting rights, securing a three-year extension in Germany. The streaming giant has also acquired exclusive English-language rights in the US for the tournament through 2024, partnering with Paramount and CBS Sports.

In the US, Paramount and CBS Sports will broadcast all UEFA Champions League matches, while Amazon Prime Video will continue to show select matches in Germany, including a game from the quarterfinals featuring Borussia Dortmund or FC Bayern Munich.

Amazon's extension in Germany is estimated to be worth around €90 million per year. The company already holds exclusive rights to stream the Champions League in Italy and the UK, giving it a significant foothold in European soccer broadcasting.

The UEFA Champions League is considered one of the most prestigious soccer competitions in the world, featuring top clubs from across the continent. Amazon's acquisition of these rights is a major coup for the company, which is rapidly becoming a major player in the sports streaming market.
